Introducing Modix Everest. the latest innovation from Modix that stands tall among our 3D printers. The Modix Everest is not just another printer; it enables printing of objects up to two meters tall in a single print. It prints fast with a new print head capable of more than 500 gr per hour and thick layers. Everest is our latest effort to push the boundaries of what’s possible in 3D printing.

The Modix BIG-2Meter Everest eliminates the need for assembling parts from multiple smaller prints. By enabling printing of objects up to two meters tall. it drastically reduces the time spent on gluing and assembly. leading to stronger. seamless final products.

Faster Printing with Griffin Ultra

Everest is equipped with the Griffin Ultra hotend capable of printing more than 500gr per hour! This enables the rapid production of insanely tall objects. drastically reducing print times. I.e. the two meter tall bottle took only 17 hours of printing time (8.2 Kg 1.2 mm layer height. 2 perimeters C not a vase mode).

Based on the BIG-Meter

Modix Everest is based on the market leader BIG-Meter sharing gantry. electronic & heaters components. The BIG-2Meter was designed with a reinforced frame made of strong 4080 mm profiles (double the size of BIG-Meter) and therefore it prints well even without the enclosure. The included enclosure helps maintaining the internal ambient temperature. The bed is attached to the HIWIN rails installed on the Z profiles. stabilizing the entire frame while moving down during the print time.

Safety

We have modified the top lid to hold the filament spools inside the printer so it will not fall on anybody. Replacing spools and other ongoing maintenance and assembly will require working at heights. Please check your local regulations for the required safety equipment and instructions when working at such heights. We have found that a platform ladder is more convenient and safer than a standard ladder. especially when you climb up with a spool in your hands. Please note that Modix does not include a ladder or other safety equipment with the printer. We recommend sourcing these locally based on your specific safety requirements and regulations.
